The ASICS Sonic Blast 2 is a lightweight, energetic road shoe designed to handle everything from daily training to faster tempo runs. Combining a responsive, bouncy ride with a more stable heel and flexible forefoot transition, it offers a versatile alternative to more aggressive plated running shoes.

Underfoot, the Sonic Blast 2 features a two-layer midsole combining FF BLAST™ MAX and FF TURBO™ SQUARED cushioning. This combination delivers a soft, highly responsive feel with excellent energy return, helping runners maintain momentum during everyday kilometres while providing the extra bounce needed when the pace increases.

The ASTROPLATE™ technology uses a forked Pebax® plate to help propel the runner forward without making the shoe feel overly rigid. This creates a smooth transition through the forefoot, making the Sonic Blast 2 suitable for runners who want the benefits of a plated shoe while still maintaining versatility for regular training.
