The athlete who had been first over the line was disqualified for doping during a period 2009-2012 and stripped of any results during that period
Sally Pearson ramped it up from Silver in Beijing to Gold in London. Lead up preparation for the event had seen her win 32/34 races. She bested the field in the 100m Hurdle 12.35 for an Olympic Record and Gold Medal
