Olympic Memories 13/21 1988 Seoul

1988 Seoul Another Hollywood Effort from the Track! In what could make a gripping movie.. Debbie Flintoff was devastated 2 wks prior to the Olympics with the death of her sister... she drew on all the strength of her 8 yrs in the sport for a Hollywood finish!
The final progressed with the Belorussian Tatyana Ledovskaya of USSR, racing to the lead and build what seemed an insurmountable lead coming into the last hurdle. Suddenly she tired, and Debbie stayed strong. In a desperate finish Debbie threw herself at the tape winning by the barest margin 53.17 to 53.18
