Coming up to 19 years of The Great North Walk Trail Races (GNW Trail Running Festival).

 Usually held in September each year.
Where: Start and finish in Patonga.

What distances are included in this event?

10km:
Although the shortest race of the Great North Walk Ultras, 10 Kilometre runners will still need to cope with precipitous ascents and descents, muddy trails, and slippery rocks and roots. There are a number of sections where running is impossible. It is a tough physical challenge and participants are entirely responsible for ensuring they are prepared for the conditions and have the necessary fitness.

30km:
Runners must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the race.
30 Kilometre runners will need to cope with precipitous ascents and descents, muddy trails and creek crossings, slippery rocks and roots, and hard-to-follow trail. There are a number of sections where running is impossible. It is a tough physical challenge and participants are entirely responsible for ensuring they are prepared for the conditions and have the necessary fitness.

8 hours

Runners must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the race.
50 Kilometre runners will need to cope with precipitous ascents and descents, muddy trails and creek crossings, slippery rocks and roots, and hard-to-follow trail. It is a tough physical challenge and participants are entirely responsible for ensuring they are prepared for the conditions and have the necessary fitness.
